Professor the Hon. Alvin Wint is Emeritus Professor of International Business at the University of the West Indies. He joined the Board of Jamaica Producers Group in 1998 and is a member of the Group’s Audit Committee.  He serves as a member of the National Partnership Council and the National Competitiveness Council. He previously served as Chairman of the HEART/NSTA Trust, the Office of Utilities Regulation and the Statistical Institute of Jamaica.    In 2022 he was conferred with the Order of Jamaica and in 2015 with the Order of Distinction, Commander Class by the Government of Jamaica.  Prof. Wint has received many professional awards including the UWI Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence. He holds a BSc from the University of the West Indies, an MBA from Northeastern University and a Doctorate in International Business from Harvard University.
